3. Website Information and Price Ranges
Prices on this website are typical Toronto ranges in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are provided for planning only. They are not offers. Your price is set in a written quote after a site visit.
4. Quotes
After a site visit we provide a written CAD quote on company letterhead, normally within 24 hours. Quotes list the scope, exclusions and any permit, heritage or BCIN requirements we identified. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Conditions hidden at the time of the visit, such as concealed structural damage, may require a written change to the scope.
5. Contracts, Payment and Change Orders
Projects are fixed-price and paid on a 5-stage draw schedule tied to scaffold, structural work, finishing, pointing and final sign-off, unless your contract states otherwise. No change order is binding without your written approval. Payment terms, accepted methods and any insurance direct-billing arrangements are set out in your contract.
6. Permits and Approvals
Where work requires a building permit, heritage approval or BCIN reviewed drawings, we identify it in the quote and our expeditor prepares and files the applications. Approval timelines are set by the municipality, typically 2-6 weeks. Work that requires approval does not start until approval is received.
7. Scheduling, Weather and Site Conditions
We schedule work around weather, cold-weather mortar requirements and the City of Toronto Noise By-law. Dates may move for weather, permit timing or safety. You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area and to let us know about anything that could affect the work, such as buried services or known structural issues.
8. Cancellations
Please give at least 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a site visit. Cancellation of signed work is governed by your contract, including payment for completed stages and materials ordered for your project, such as custom-matched or reclaimed brick.
9. Warranty
We provide a written 10-year workmanship warranty as described in your contract. The warranty covers defects in our workmanship. It does not cover damage from causes outside our control, such as new water sources, settlement unrelated to our work, impact, alterations by others or lack of reasonable maintenance.
10. Insurance
We carry $5M general liability insurance and maintain WSIB clearance. Certificates are shared at contract signing.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Toronto Elite Masonry is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this website. Liability for services is governed by your contract and applicable Ontario law.
12. Website Content
Text, graphics and images on this website belong to Toronto Elite Masonry or are used with permission. Guides and explanations are general information, not engineering or legal advice for your property.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
